Munch’s is located in a quiet location off the main Shiba shopping street. The shiba shopping street association have collectively banded together to promote “Shibakara” as the place in Tokyo to ignite your culinary senses. I initially heard about Munch’s from a friend on FaceBook about Munch’s infamous Bhut Jolokia Chili Burger.

I can never turn down anything with Bhut Jolokia and off I went to Munch’s and ordered the Level 5 spice level Bhut Jolokia Chili Burger. The waitress warned that no one should order it at level 5 spiciness on the first visit. Darn, my mouth is watering as I’m thinking of the burger again.

As awesome as the Bhut Jolokia Chili Burger is, it’s not for everyone. It is legitimately fiery, you’ve been warned. That aside, Munch’s bacon cheeseburger stands up to the best of the best in Tokyo. The Caesar Salad with generous chunks of bacon is also highly recommended. The folks at Munch’s smoke their own bacon and it is phenomenal. I can eat this all day!

The owner chef (with rad dreads) is passionate about burgers and you can find him manning the grill and making the burgers himself at all times. That is dedication to quality and that is the reason why I shall keep going back to Munch’s.
